Here’s the latest video of my UE4 project. I have an enemy with 3 attacks. This map is just my small test map for AI and combat.
Today I posted on UnrealEngine.com about our shading system in Unreal Engine 4.
Here’s a second video of the personal project I’ve been working on in UE4. Since last time I’ve gotten a proper first-person rig created. It allowed me to set up an idle and attack animation for the arms. I now have a basic attack that does damage, and destroys objects.
I also tweaked how jump works. If you’re standing still or moving forward the character will leap when you press jump, but if you’re strafing or moving backwards, the character will dodge. Hopefully this feels good, I want to have a few mobility options but not a lot of keys to worry about.
In the video you can see me jump, dash from side to side, and beat the shit out of some barrels.
Sorry the video is a bit choppy, its the capture software, the game is running over 60 fps right now.
